What started out as a sort of "experiment", turned into the best vacation Lorraine and I have ever had as a couple. Most romantic, most surprising, most interesting, most fun. I never went on a "guided" tour before, had never been to Italy (a lifelong dream), and I was never in a country that didn't speak English as their first language. I had only movies and books to help me anticipate what to expect, so I was a bit concerned that my expectations would be too high. Suffice it to say, the guides (locals) made this trip even better than my expectations, and the group of people I was with enriched it all the more.
