Nathan was our "danger child". Standing on his own at just 5 months, and starting to walk at 8 months gave us more fits than we care to remember. He was never content to just "sit and play". Nate&NinaBucket.jpg (94498 bytes) In fact we can’t remember him EVER doing that. He had to move. This type of energy would later find its outlet in sports and outdoor recreation such as Tennis, Hockey, Skiing, Hiking, Biking, etc. Nate loves sports but I’m afraid we lived a bit too far in the sticks to help him take advantage of his desires and abilities. It wasn’t until we moved into our own house (he was about 13 by then) that facilities were close enough for him to pursue Hockey in a big way.  Within his first 2 years he was one of the top scorers in his league, and was able to move up to a much more difficult level of play.  He also became the incentive for his mother to "take on the Kiski area school board" to get Hockey recognized as a sanctioned school "club" - a feat previously unattainable.  Virtually any sport Nate tries he can do well.  Lately that has been rollerblading, skiing, skiboarding, and weight lifting.  This is one guy that will not lead a sedentary life.DeannaNate.jpg (97849 bytes)
