Yesterday was a difficult day. I thought that renting a car would be a good idea, but I was wrong. First I got a surprise when I went to pick up the car. Hertz put 30% on the price that I didn’t expect. Then, I went to the city of milan, only to find that the stores were closed, because it was Monday morning. After getting lost in the city for 30 minutes, I found the “Autostrada”. Things when from bad to worse. The speeds on the autostrada go from 130 to 150 km/hr for normal drivers, but many of them go faster. I felt like I was in the United States again; too stressed, with too many people in a hurry. But, it’s all good. We went to dinner that night and I met the rest of our group. We are only 8 ciclists in this trip, so it will be nice. Trento is a beautiful city, and I hope to see more of it before I leave.
Giorno 1: versione italiano Ieri era un giorno difficile. Pensavo che noleggiare una macchina fosse un buon idea, ma ho sbagliato. Prima, ho ricevuto una sorpesa quando sono andato a prendere la macchina. Hertz ha messo trenta percento, che non aspettavo, sopra il prezzo. Poi, sono andato al centro di Milano, solamente a trovare che i negozi erano chiusi, perché era lunedì mattina. Dopo di essermi perduto per trenta minuti, ho trovato l’”Autostrada”. Le cose andavano dalla padella nella brace. Le velocità sull’Autostrada vanno da 130 a 150 km/ora per gli autisti normali, ma molti di loro vanno più velocemente. Sentivo di essere negli Stati Uniti di nuovo; troppo stressato con troppa gente in fretta.
Ma, tutto a posto. Siamo andati a cena quella notte e ho incontrato il resto del nostro gruppo. Siamo solo otto ciclisti in questo viaggio, alla era molto bello. Trento è una bella città e spero di poter vederla di più prima di partire. |
