1 pie crustunbaked
12 slicesbacon (1/2 lb.)cooked & crumbled
1 cupswiss cheeseshredded
1/3cupminced onionsoptional
4 eggs
2 cupswhipping or light cream
1/4teaspoonsugar
1/8teaspoonblack pepper

Prepare crust. Sprinkle bacon (or ham or sausage), cheese and onion in pastry lined pie pan. Beat eggs slightly and add rest of ingredients. Pour into pie pan. Bake 5 minutes. Reduce oven to 300 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer or til knife inserted inch from edge comes out clean. Let stand 0 minutes before cutting. Serve in wedges.
